2. Information We Collect

We collect only essential information required to operate your digital garage log:

  • Account Credentials: Email address and encrypted authentication tokens provided during signup via Supabase Auth.
  • Vehicle Profile Data: Vehicle make, model, year, trim, mileage, and optional avatar image.
  • Maintenance Logs & Receipt Attachments: Service dates, repair categories, fluid viscosities, part numbers, cost figures, notes, and uploaded receipt images.

3. How We Use Your Information & Third-Party AI Processing

Your data is used strictly to provide, maintain, and optimize your personal garage tracking experience:

  • Providing secure user authentication and personal garage dashboard access.
  • Calculating total maintenance costs, odometer progression, and preventive service interval reminders in kilometers.
  • Generating exportable maintenance reports (CSV) for your private resale or personal record keeping.
AI Receipt Scanning via Google Gemini API:

When you use the optional "Scan Receipt (AI)" feature, your uploaded receipt image is transmitted securely via encrypted HTTPS directly to Google's Gemini Vision API solely for transient optical character recognition (OCR) and text parsing to extract the date, vendor, parts, and cost figures into your form.

Transient Processing & No AI Training: Your receipt image and parsed text are processed in real time and are strictly not retained, stored, or used by Google or sukiwave to train machine learning or AI models. The transmission terminates immediately upon receipt processing.

Privacy Tip: Invoices may contain sensitive identifiers. We recommend physically covering or masking personal information (such as credit card numbers, home addresses, or phone numbers) prior to capturing receipt photos.

4. Data Security & Storage Architecture

Your account data and vehicle logs are secured using industry-standard cloud infrastructure:

  • Supabase Auth & Database: User authentication and PostgreSQL records are isolated using Row Level Security (RLS), ensuring that only authorized account sessions can access or modify personal logs.
  • Encryption: All network communication occurs over Secure HTTPS (TLS) connections.
  • No Sale of Data: We do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal email, vehicle logs, or receipts to third-party data brokers or advertisers.

5. Cookies, Local Storage & Tracking

We use cookies and browser storage strictly to deliver core functionality, maintain user security, and understand general platform performance:

  • Essential Authentication & Security Cookies: We utilize secure, encrypted session cookies and authentication tokens (managed via Supabase Auth and Flask, configured with SameSite=Lax, HttpOnly, and Secure flags) strictly necessary to keep you securely signed in, protect against unauthorized cross-site requests, and protect your garage data.
  • Browser Local Storage: We use local storage strictly for client-side user preferences (such as your preferred language EN/JA, active vehicle tab, or interface state) so you enjoy a seamless experience across browser reloads.
  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4): We utilize aggregate, privacy-respecting analytics to monitor platform traffic volume and technical stability. GA4 collects anonymized usage telemetry via cookies (such as _ga). It never captures passwords, uploaded receipts, vehicle notes, or financial figures.
  • No Advertising Trackers: We do not deploy third-party advertising cookies, cross-site behavioural trackers, or marketing pixels.
  • User Control: You can modify or block cookies at any time through your browser settings. Please note that blocking essential session cookies will prevent you from logging into your account.

6. Right to Erasure & Account Deletion

You hold absolute ownership of your data and have the right to request complete data erasure at any time. When you initiate account deletion via your Settings dashboard:

  • All maintenance service records and itemized breakdowns are permanently deleted.
  • Your vehicle profiles, avatar photos, and receipt document uploads are purged from storage.
  • Your authentication record is permanently erased from the database.
